This is one of Japan\'s three strange festivals. After all the lights are turned off at 10:00pm at the traditional main temple, two sacred wooden sticks are called \"shingi\" thrown into the crowd of men. Then the loin-cloth clad men start to grapple for the sticks. People who got \"shingi\" are called \"Fukuotoko\" and it is said that \"Fukuotoko\" will get five lucks on property, helth and somemore for the year.
